Commander, Marine Environmental Protection Command, CG VADM ROBERT N PATRMONIO, together with Commander, Marine Science Investigation Force (MSIF), CG COMMO EDUARDO P DE LUNA JR and Acting Superintendent, Marine Environmental Protection Training Institute (MEPTI), CG CAPT PATRICK G BABAG, headed the Closing Ceremony of Water Safety, Rescue and Survival Techniques (WASAR) Training Class 02-2023 and Convening Ceremony of WASAR Class 03-2023 aboard Headquarters MEPCOM last 18 September 2023.
The newly graduated class is composed of forty-three (43) MEPCOM male personnel after successfully completing the week-long training in basic lifesaving and survival techniques. Followed by the convening ceremony of WASAR Class 03-2023, composed of sixty-two (62) MEPCOM female personnel.
The newly convened class will also undergo five-day training that aims to equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond effectively to maritime incidents, such as lifesaving skills, CPR techniques, first aid knowledge, and other related skills.
