๐๐๐๐: Marine Environmental Protection Command (MEPCOM) conducted the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Internal Audit on 26 September 2023 aboard Headquarters MEPCOM, Coast Guard Base Farola, Muelle dela Industria, Binondo, Manila.
The MEPCOM Annual Internal Audit started with an opening meeting, which was presided by Quality Management Representative (QMR), CG CAPT PATRICK G BABAG together with Chief of MEP Staff, CG CAPT RICHARD Q PARAGAS, and attended by the Heads of Offices, MEPCOM Internal Auditors and Coast Guard Internal Audit personnel.
Following the Internal Quality Audit (IQA), a closing meeting was conducted. During this session, Internal Auditors presented their findings per office to QMR and shared valuable comments and suggestions regarding the audit results.
MEPCOM officers and non-officers underwent a comprehensive series of training programs to become proficient and competent internal auditors. The training covered awareness of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Risk Assessment and Control, and Internal Quality Audit. The training provided knowledge and skills for the designated officers and non-officers of MEPCOM to conduct internal quality audit with competence.
The purpose of the IQA is to assess and evaluate the Commandโs internal processes, systems, and procedures to ensure they are in compliance with established quality standards, policies, and objectives.
