LOOK: The Marine Environmental Protection Command (MEPCOM) held an Assessment Conference as part of 2nd Quarter MEPCOM Summit 2023 at Sunlight Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan last 23 to 25 August 2023.

The conference was headed by CG VADM ROBERT N PATRIMONIO, Commander, MEPCOM and was welcomed by CG CAPT DENNIS REM C LABAY, Commander Coast Guard District Palawan. It was also attended by CG COMMO FIDELES D SALLIDAO, Acting Deputy Commander, MEPCOM and Director, NOCOP and CG COMMO EDUARDO P DE LUNA JR, Commander, MSIF together with the MEP Staff, MEP Units and MEPForce Commanders.

The highlight of the conference was the presentation of MEP Staff, Units and MEPForces of their accomplishments as well as their respective issues and concerns for the second quarter of the year. It also became an avenue for the debriefing report of the recent oil spill incident in Oriental Mindoro discussing the best practices observed during oil spill response and what can be further improved.

CG VADM PATRIMONIO concluded the Summit with his guidance to all of the MEPCOM personnel and likewise expressed his sincerest gratitude for their dedication and hard work. He lauded the accomplishments of each Staff, Units and MEPForces and challenged them to continue to excel in the performance of MEP functions in their respective offices and area of responsibility.
