The Marine Environmental Protection Command participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) and observance of World Tsunami Awareness Day at Coast Guard Base Farola Parade Ground at exactly 1400H today, 07 September 2023.
PCG personnel observed the 𝑫𝒖𝒄𝒌, 𝑪𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒅! drill procedure as they vacate the offices and proceed to the open areas for safety.
The quarterly conduct of the nationwide earthquake drills each year is an effort of the government that aims to raise awareness and increase readiness among the public in the event of a potential earthquake.
