11 February 2022 – This Command held the ceremonial awarding of the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate to the Marine Environmental Protection Command. The said Certificate was presented by Mr. Gilmore Rivera, SOCOTEC Managing Director with CG CDR ROXANNE A NATIVIDAD, Commander, Coast Guard Internal Audit, and was graciously received by CG VADM ROLANDO LIZOR N PUNZALAN JR, Commander, MEPCOM. The SOCOTEC Director lauded MEPCOM for this notable achievement and encouraged the Command to continue its drive for excellence.

This event was held in conjunction with the Turn-over Ceremony of Command Master Chief and Chief Master-at-Arms. During the Turn-over Ceremony CG Senior Chief Petty Officer Leomelio T Encio assumed the position of the new Command Master Chief while CG Senior Chief Petty Officer Crisanto M Soriano, former North Western Luzon MEP Force Commander assumed the position as the new Chief Master-at-Arms of MEPCOM.
