17 January 2022 – CG RADM ROLANDO LIZOR N PUNZALAN JR Commander, Marine Environmental Protection Command was promoted to the next higher rank of VICE ADMIRAL (O-9). The promotion order was approved by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, effective last 06 January 2022, and further endorsed to the PCG for promulgation by DOTR Secretary Atty Arthur P. Tugade. The Donning and Oath-taking were presided by no less than CG ADMIRAL LEOPOLDO V LAROYA, Commandant, Philippine Coast Guard, and the Arrival Honors for CG VICE ADMIRAL PUNZALAN was held at the National Headquarters PCG, Port Area, Manila.

A Eucharistic Mass was held in the afternoon in celebration of C, MEPCOM’s promotion together with his wife MRS. JENNIVIR GLACE A. PUNZALAN and their son, LANCE LIZOR, and was attended by Officers and Non-Officers of HMEPCOM and other PCG units at the PCG Gymnasium, Coast Base Farola.

MEPCOM is beyond grateful for having a leader who is dedicated and passionate with serving the nation amidst the very challenging COVID-19 pandemic.
