The Marine Environmental Protection Command was immediately recommended for continued certification to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System for passing its first surveillance audit last 23 November 2022. This was the recommendation of Ms. Anna Theresa Manlangit, Lead Auditor of SOCOTEC Certification International after MEPCOM successfully passed the said audit with zero nonconformance.
This was the first surveillance audit after MEPCOM was certified on 31 December 2021. The goal of an ISO surveillance audit is to check if an organization is on continuous compliance with the ISO standards after its certification audit.
During the closing meeting, RADM ROBERT N PATRIMONIO, Commander, MEPCOM expressed his gratitude to the Audit Team for helping MEPCOM to continuously improve its management systems for the benefit of its personnel and stakeholders. He likewise congratulated the men and women of MEPCOM for this note-worthy feat. MEPCOM belongs to the very few PCG units to be ISO 9001:2015 QMS certified.
