03 March 2022 – Marine Environmental Protection Command conducted a tree planting activity wherein seventy-eight (78) fruit-bearing trees were successfully planted covering a 250 sqm area. The activity was done with the participation of personnel from Headquarters, MEPCOM, the Marine Environmental Protection Training Center, and MEP Group – Bataan together with personnel of TF Bayanihan for Returning Overseas Filipino-One Stop Shop – Bataan and was graced by Coast Guard Auxiliary COMMO Mario U Rabang. The said activity was done as part of MEPCOM’s advocacy reverse global warming by undertaking climate mitigation measures and preserving a healthful and well-balanced environment.
