01 December 2021 – Marine Environmental Protection Command conducted the Ceremonial Christmas Tree Lighting in Headquarters MEPCOM Shaded Area, Coast Guard Base Farola, Muelle Dela Industria, Binondo, Manila at exactly 1800H 01 December 2021. This momentous occasion was attended physically by all HMEPCOM Officers and stakeholders as well as MEPFORCES nationwide via online platform in observance of the traditional Christmas Season and to feel the spirit of Christmas. The said activity was started by Invocation and Blessing of Giant Christmas Tree by CG CAPTAIN STEPHEN D SIMANGAN, CG Chaplain Service. Then a guest singer P/ENS DIANE VERGOZA, CG Medical – RTPCR serenaded during the activity by singing wonderful Christmas songs. The event’s highlight, the Ceremonial Lighting of Christmas Tree was spearheaded by CG RADM ROLANDO LIZOR N PUNZALAN JR, Commander, Marine Environmental Protection Command which was followed by his inspirational messages, words of wisdom, and emphasizing the definition of HOPE which stands for: Help others, observe health protocols, Pray, and Empathy. The program was concluded by singing a Christmas-themed song that was performed by the whole Command which was followed by a simple boodle fight following health protocols. Ms. Jam Puti and Ms. Kai Calamba of Hotel 101 likewise witnessed said momentous MEPCOM activity.
