Newly reported Officers and Non-Officers of Marine Environmental Protection Command (MEPCOM) attended Basic Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar on Thursday, 01 June 2023 at Headquarters, MEPCOM, Coast Guard Base Farola, Binondo, Manila.

The seminar aims to raise the awareness of newly reported personnel about the uniqueness of genders and how it is recognized by institution. It also serves as an eye-opener for PCG personnel to understand the different roles that men and women play in society, and how to envision a world where gender equality is a reality, given with equal opportunities, access to resources and services, and equal protection under the law.

CG ENS ROGIE-MIE N TEJO of Coast Guard Gender and Development Office facilitated the seminar that enlightened MEPCOM personnel on the existing PCG GAD policies and programs.
