The Marine Environmental Protection Command conducted a training on Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent (EORA) last 21-27 June 2022 aboard HMEPCOM Shaded Area, Coast Guard Base Farola, Muelle dela Industria Farola, Binondo, Manila.

Thirty-two (32) MEPCOM personnel underwent the five (5) day training conducted by the Special Operations Forces – Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit headed by CG CPO Arnel D Alejandro and his team. During the course of the said training, they discussed about the investigation, detection, locating, marking, initial detecting, and reporting of suspected unexploded ordnance. The EORA training concluded with a simulation of an actual operation wherein the personnel where tasked to search and identify explosives and ordnance.

This training will equip the MEPCOM Personnel with the knowledge for the accurate reporting and reconnaissance activities on unexploded ordnance which is necessary to conduct effective disposal operations in affected areas.
